Regional and National Orchid Societies
American Orchid Society This is an excellent source for general information about orchid culture, affiliated societies, conservation, upcoming orchid shows, orchid judging, webinars and more.
Mid-America Orchid Congress This organization supports most regional orchid societies in the central USA. Our regional shows use their show schedule for classification purposes.
Illowa Orchid Society. This society is located 60 miles east of us in the Quad Cities. They have a spring orchid show yearly and we often share club activities and speakers. We have several members in common.
Central Iowa Orchid Society This is the other Iowa orchid club meeting in Des Moines. They sponsor an educational speaker's day each July.
Illinois Orchid Society This club is based at the Chicago Botanical Gardens in Glencoe, Illinois (northern suburb of Chicago) and has 2 shows annually. They also help sponsor the Chicago Judging Center.
Batavia Orchid Society This is the other club in the Chicago area meeting in the western suburbs. They have a February orchid show.
Wisconsin Orchid Society They are based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sponsor two orchid shows annually.
Northeast Wisconsin Orchid Society This club is from the Green Bay Wisconsin area.
Orchid Society of Minnesota Based in the Twin Cities, this is a large society and has an orchid show during Winter Carnival in St Paul annually at the end of January.
Orchid Growers Guild of Madison Wisconsin sponsors "Orchid Quest" the first weekend of February each year and is one of the larger regional shows.
